xine-panel: PLAY
xine_play: xine open xine-ui version 0.9.5cvs, start pos = 0, start time = 0 (sec)
xine: cannot find input plugin for this MRL
can I know what is causing this ?

I've had success installing using source rpm's from
http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/ on 8.1.
These are daily rpm build from CVS, so you know they are current.
