Hi, I have a mandrake 8.0 with the 2.4.3-20mdk kernel. Today while I was just browsing the web with mozilla my system got very slow. I did a "top" to see the memory and the swap was working hard while I had almost 20 Mb free of 256 MB. How could that be? I had only 4 apps running, xmms, aumix, licq and some mozilla windows. I started to kill apps and noticed how the system improved very well (no swap needed). I have this feeling it was mozilla that caused the problem but Im not sure. Any ideas of what may have been the problem, does somebody recognise this?
