I have Mandrake 8.0 installed on a Dell Inspiron 2500. I run Mandrake Update, and setup a security update site. As soon as I do that (and I've reinstalled Mandrake just to check it) it starts filling the trees and when it gets to the security site, it stops at 26% (every time) and freezes. I have to kill the program. So now, basically, I can't update my computer except by getting rpms and using kpackage. Anyone else had this problem and any suggestions on how to fix it? And no, I can't get Mandrake 8.1 to work on this computer, so don't suggest that.
