One of the reasons for switching to unix was the control over the os that it allows. But I must admit the may files are organized are completly chaotic. One install installs everything into one directory another spreads the files out to every single directory on your drive. How you can possibly maintain backups. Its driving me nuts. I can never find anything. I am anal when it comes to how I keep my files. Is there some logic to this that I am missing?
