This is kind of a weird question but here goes. Is there a way to send a key to an application from the command line. Here's an example. While playing a file in xmms (assuming it has focus) if i hit 'c' the track pauses. Is there a way I could send the 'c' key to xmms from the command line? I'm looking for a generic solution, not something that is xmms specific.
