Gqview is on your CD's, probly already installed, it's very much
like ACDSee, only much better. You can either r-click on the image
and choose 'Full Screen', or the <v> key will make the image full
screen. For multiple images you can either start the 'Slide Show'
(from a right click), or just press the <s> key. To manually move
thru multiple images you can either use the <space bar>, <arrow
keys>, or <Page Up/Dn> keys to cycle either backwards or forwards.

I've used Gqview as my desktop (on all 4, enlarged to full screen
without being in full screen mode), starting automagically with KDE,
cycling thru (Slide Show) a directory of 63,474 .jpg's at 4 secs each
for over a year now. ACDSee won't do that ;) Look on the tool bar
on the top left just like in ACDSee. Gqview's configuration and use
is very intuitive, you shouldn't have any problems. I've also found
it uses much less memory and cpu resources than other viewers, yet
loads and runs quickly, even with 63,000+ files ;)

The only other viewer of this type with similar fuctionality I've
found is a commercial app named Compupic (free for private use).
BUT, besides the fact that you should always avoid introducing closed
source proprietary software or drivers, as much as possible, onto
your system ... Compupic's a real memory/cpu hog.
