What's the deal here? Mandrake 8.1 Gnome; downloaded KStars RPM (a BIG file - nearly an hour to download) and tried to install it -> failed dependency libpng.so.3. OK, downloaded missing library from cooker, copied it to /usr/lib, removed libpng.so link and replaced it with link to libpng.so.3. Tried kstars install again; same error, failed dependency libpng.so.3. This kind of problem has been reported before. Is there a general answer?
