This is just not true. The palm 50x USB devices are supported just fine. All known devices are supported by the latest kernels, and you can use either coldsync right now, or get the beta release of pilot-link and jpilot. Don't waste money on a serial cable, but instead, upgrade your software for free :) thanks, greg k-h
