Kicker (the bottom toolbar) freezes up in my case. A workaround is to remove the shell icon from Kicker by dragging it to the desktop; starting the shell from anywhere other than Kicker appears to skip over the problem. (In any case, from a shell window you can do ps -aux | grep kicker kill -9 <process number> kdeinit kicker to start Kicker again). There are a few other bugs: - desktop icons occasionally disappear and reappear without warning; - some icons are missing in the K-menu (look under Configuration, in particular); - some minor applications don't work (notably kstars which gives a SIGSEGV after momentarily flashing up its window); - I'm always given the setup wizard on starting KDE3; - automatic monitor power-off no longer works. I'll do some more trying to fix the last two, but the first four appear to be unavoidable. However, they're not fatal and KDE3 is enormously impressive.
