Run menudrake, either from the menu (Configuration | Other | Menudrake) or a terminal. Often menudrake will pick up new items you've just installed, but if not you can use menudrake to add the new item to your menus. I had the same problem, and it took me ages to realize the obvious fact that I was filling up the destination partition, and the copy command naturally choked once /home filled up.
