You mean, have it appear on the start menu? Run menudrake, either from the menu 
(Configuration | Other | Menudrake) or a terminal. Often menudrake will pick up new 
items you've just installed, but if not you can use menudrake to add the new item to 
your menus. It's use is pretty self explanatory.

You mean, copy them to a Linux partition? I had the same problem, and it took me ages 
to realize the obvious fact that I was filling up the destination partition, and the 
copy command naturally choked once /home filled up. Duh.
