And, Knoppix works pretty darn well when installed to hard drive.

I'm very happy with mandriva LE at the moment, because everything I want 
to do, does ... But I was fascinated with knoppix's superior hardware 
detection, and saw how useful it could be.  Also am realising, I just 
like fiddling, but not too dificult!
