Thanks indeed for your suggestion.
I used cdda2wav to convert, say, track 4 into a .wav file:

# cdda2wav dev=/dev/hdc -t 4 myaudio

. This will create in the home directory the file myaudio.inf
and the file myaudio.wav, which is actually the track 4 of the CD.
But I don't manage to convert more than one track at a time,
e.g. track 4 and track 7.
Can anybody suggest the right syntax (if there be one) to do so?
