OK. Gotcha now. has anyone suggested that you may have a bad image

The more I hear about your problems concerning the 362.8MB limit, the
more I'm thinking that the ISO may be hooped.
I just started reading this thread ... here are my observations:
I have purchased repeatedly from BudgetLinuxCDs.com this year, both
CDs and DVDs. Of the ten discs, we have had two that were incorrectly
burned. The company actually emailed me about a bad batch before ours
came in the mail. The defective ones were replaced.
My copy of the BudgetLinuxCDs Mandriva 2005 LE DVD boots without a
hitch.
At this point, I would definitely contact BudgetLinuxCDs.com
Julie Owens, Oregon, USA
Like others, I'm confused about the .iso - I wouldn't expect the DVD
to have an .iso file on it.
I've just taken a look at the Budget site (unfortunately closed till
Aug 15) and seen that they do a couple of 2005 DVDs main and contrib,
but can't see any list of the contents.
I downloaded and burnt contrib to a dvd & that's 4 GB, 'main' has less
than 3 Gb.
Can you follow links from the index.htm of the DVD (or image)?
Not with my DVD:
< opened in konqueror as su >
An error occurred while loading file:/mnt/iso/index.htm:
Could not read file /mnt/iso/index.htm
So I shall go looking and wait for BudgetLinuxCD to get back from their
holiday.
