Ok - it doesn't look like it needs any firmware uploaded. What does your
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0 file look like?

Also, are you using WEB or WPA? Do you have an access point/wireless
router, or are you trying to connect to another wireless NIC?
