Most peole have favored usin Gkrellm as a GUI to sensors.
There's also a KDE specific app call Ksensors. Both will require
user configuration. It's best to get 'sensors' understood an workin
in a console first tho.

Ya beat me to it Tom (recommending Gkrellm) I run it in a dual stacked configuration. Here's the link Ted if ya want to check it out:

There are also RPM's available for Mandrake (Mandriva) 9.0 -> 10.1.

I use gkrellm. I've never had any luck with ksensors. Besides, I run a very small gkrellm that fits nicely on a window title bar near the right side top of my screen. Always on top, all four desktops. I have the 'Configuration' set to make gkrellm about 50 pixels wide, an 20 high. This is just enough room to get the cpu load gauge right above the cpu temp. All other gkrellm outputs are disabled.

Since I'm overclocked ** an also run cooker this is very important for me. Both to get prompt warning of processes gone wild (cpu gauge will peg to the right an turn red), an to monitor cpu temps during extreme load (kernel compile, movie re-encoding, dvd rip & transcoding, etc., and then guage is also pegged. Often for hours).

** Athlon XP3000+ 333. Default is 13x166 = 2166Mhz. I run it at 11x202 = 2222Mhz, an 404 FSB. PCI bus is still the default 33.3Mhz, as is the Vcore, 1.65v. A little faster than a XP3200+ 400. It'll go faster, but since I have 3 scsi emulated drives (2 CD drives, one sata) plus two ide pata drives I need to keep the PCI bus on spec.
