Started using Kate after peculiar things happen in OO Write (It's way
too complex and non-intuitive for me to want to master OO). Copied text from OO file of accumulated excerpts of Newbie emails into Kate, but it refuses to save the file. Message is : The document could not be saved, as the selected encoding cannot encode every unicode character in it. If you are unsure of which encoding to use, try UTF-8 or UTF-16. Have already set Open/Save to UTF-16 and UTF-8 with same outcome after reboot. Any suggestions that would avoid this problem ? |
