The trouble with Wine is that it usually has to be tweaked for each Windows application you run under it. For a newbie this can be quite a challenge. (I find it a challenge too) There are commercial versions of Wine such as Codeweavers Crossover Office (www.codeweavers.com) and Transgamings Cedega (www.transgaming.com) that allow you to install and run several Windows applications and games easily. (Except none of the Windows games I actually own work with Cedega) Perhaps there is a native Linux application you could use instead of whatever it is you are trying to run under Wine? derek -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org
