On a new 2006 installation, the addition of vmware (4.5.2) causes my network connection to get dropped every few minutes. This was never a problem with 10.1. Restarting the network service (service -f network restart) doesn't solve the problem, but reinstalling the network connection does. Disabling vmware networking doesn't solve the problem either.
Can anyone suggest an explanation or better yet a workaround. I really need to get vmware up and running for work compatibility. TIA Paul
