How about Colossal Cave on CP/M, that brings back memories. I had to
sneak into another works building after normal hours to play that.
Bluffing my way past the security guard was always a worry.
Yes, I remember that. There was a version of it ported to Linux, but I
don't remember where to find it. Rubbing the lamp didn't help.
Did the lamp get bigger <g>
Nope. I take it you have not played the game...
last game I playedwas Redneck Rampage the first was Lunar Lander programed
into a KIM-1 [1.5 K of RAM] :-)
But have you played Colossal Cave or the original Adventure? That is
where the rubbing of the lamp reference is from. (After all, it might be
a magic lamp - you never know in an adventure game.)
If you look, you can find the Lunar Lander program for Linux. Someone
create a package of a lot of the old text-based games. I think I still
have a book with the source code in Basic for most of them packed away
someware. I think it was called "What to do after you hit Return" or
something like that.
