I need to insert the Euro currency sign in Kmail and Kwrite text. It's
ascii 128 decimal, 80 hexadecimal. In Windows there was a key sequence
that included the decimal number that would produce the desired special
character. Is there such a thing in Linux/KDE? In short, how can I get
the Euro sign.

I looked through Kwrite's Insert Special Character feature, but couldn't
find the Euro sign (found the British pound currency sign though), but I'm
notorious for looking right at things and not seeing them - old brain
cells, you know. If I could find it in Kwrite, I could copy from Kwrite to
the system clipboard and then paste from the system clipboard into Kmail.

Hmm, come to think of it I don't know if there is an across applications
system clipboard in KDE. If there is, can anybody suggest a clipboard
manager.

Thanks in advance,

Terry Liittschwager
