Hi.

I have a server running on Powerpack 2006 Mandrivalinux. Does anyone know if I have to rebuild the kernel to add options for firewall use and nat so I can share out an internet connection? My adsl modem died last night due to a storm so I want to set up a connection and share it though a switch if I can. I don't know what options are pre-compiled into the kernel.

Thanks.

on my computer, (2006powerpack)
this should only take setting up the connection in mcc (the mandrake control center) [star> system> configuration> configure your computer > login as root> *network and internet> share internet connections with other local machines

*= some additional 'wizards' for mcc can be installed via urpmi drakwizard, and they may be needed, so if you find you don't have all the choices I am typing about, then as root "urpmi drakwizard" then restart mcc
