Seriously Again this morning,
1. I updated my mirrors on the club site one by one because that's the way it is offered there. Including a pita cut and paste for each requiring a password. 1.5 hour 2. I reviewed my sources and temporarily disabled the old "tried and true" to favor the club junk. 15 minutes 3. I did a simple update with "'urpmi.update -a --force-key --wget && urpmi -v --auto-select --wget --auto --keep' most of which translates to, "this bullshit is exasperating." half hour 4. Response was 20 lines like this: /2006.0/i586/hdlist.cz ...retrieving failed: wget failed: exited with 1 or signal 0 So, again.........., I waisted a goodly part of my Sunday morning trying to keep current in one box. Multiply that over the 11 boxes in my office and I think trying to maintain a Mdk network is an exercise in futility. I have actively campaigned among my friends since 8.0, and now I wouldn't recommend this distro to my worst enemy. My dad used to say, "People beat their heads against the wall because it feels so good when you stop." Watch me stop.
