Hi,
When I installed a new hard drive I neglected to partition for a swap
partition. What would be the process for partitioning/formatting one on an
operating dual boot system? I originally partitioned using Partitiion Magic.
Should I just go back and do it with it?
you could try, does your version of PM handle Linux formats of file
systems that you installed?
you can/should be able to use diskdrake to setup partitions...
Is the swap partition essentially necessary?
more or less depends on the amount of ram you have in the box.
you can also use a swap file in Linux, but it is not quite as fast as a
swap partition
