When the CD starts to boot, you should see a screen that gives you 2 boot options - Press F1 or Press Enter.

When you see that screen, press the 'F1' key and it will take you to a console and a boot prompt.

When you get to the prompt, type the following (without the quotes) and press enter;

'linux noapic nolapic acpi=off'

If that boots, but still gives you the boot error that you had before, chances are that the CD wasn't burned properly.
