Download and burn "The Ultimate BootCD"
boot from it, and from the hard drive utilities menu, choose one of the
security wipe utilities.
wipe the drive
go back to linux, use fdisk to repartition, mount etc.....

I forgot about the UBCD. Dug it out of my stack, and wiped the
drive. 3+ hours to do it, but now I'm clean. Well...at least my
drive is.
