Joe This is the setup on my LAN; all machines connect through a router One each box /etc/hosts contains entries for every machine including localhost, like so: 192.168.2.4 TheMainMan 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.2.81 canopus 192.168.2.75 menkalinan Then ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED] from canopus for instance, supply the password and bingo. scp and sftp work as well. Note that all machines have equal weight and no firewall running. On older installations a protocol level needed to be specified but that requirement seems to have disappeared. Don't know what that meant anyway. Hope this helps Len ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
