[NEWBIES] Ebase , FM5.0, and Master Password

As part of my evaluation of ebase 1.02, I'm trying to modify layouts 
using FileMaker Pro Trial 5.0v2.  When I open ebase.102 with FM, 
the conversion process takes place as described in the manual 
and ebase runs fine with the "user" and "admin" passwords.

However, if I use the "master" password, names_.102 runs as 
usual, but the form is replaced by a gray panel with the message 
"Access Denied" and Layout Mode is unavailable from the View 
menu.

Any help would be appreciated.
