Janina,

Yes, they can, but they don't need to.  The Mac and PC files are the
same.  One file works on both platforms.  Thus, you could give that
person a copy of your database for entry purposes and then just take it
back.  Make backups before doing so.  Also, you'll need to work out
synchronizing changes made.  That is, you cant update your database
until you get it back from the other person (because their copy won't
have your changes and yours won't have theirs, and trying to import
their changes could be tricky if they are modifying existing records).
