In response to several questions regarding mailing labels. The ebase
label layouts, two for individual addresses and two for households,
are intended to work with Avery 5160 or equivalent - 3x10 layout,
half inch top and bottom. FileMaker (and therefore ebase) seems to
have trouble interpreting this for the variety of printer drivers
people use. You can go to layout mode and adjust the layout. Select
the Layout Setup menu item and set fixed margins to half inch top and
bottom, 3/16 (0.18) on the sides. You'll be warned that the margins
are smaller than you printer - say OK. Remove the header and footer
on the layout - the margins take care of that. Be very certain that
the layout is exactly 1 inch high - one pixel will make a difference
of an entire line over ten rows of labels. Preview to see that you
have 10 rows of labels. Repeat as necessary until it looks like you
want.
