[NEWBIES] deletion file missing

I loaded filemaker and ebase onto my computer a couple months ago.  Every
time I try to delete a record the following message appears:
        "deleted_.fp3 file could not be found.  The deletion process will be
cancelled"
What I have been doing is just deleting all the data in the record and just
leaving it blank until I have another to add, but this is a sloppy process
and just waiting for error.  

Is there a simple way of me getting this file?
