I'd like a little clarification about versions of ebase. I currently
have 1.02 and have been customizing it using FilemakerPro Version 5,
getting ready to import files from a different database. From what I
can read on the ebase website, version 1.03 is tailored to Filemaker 5,
but ebase version 1.02 files will work on FMP5 as well. Are there
significant advantages to 1.03 with FMP5? I know FMP5 converts ebase
files as it opens them, but don't know if there are other
changes/advantages in 1.03 that are important enough that an upgrade is advisable.
I'm also stuck with different versions of the manual. I first
downloaded it and printed it out when version 1.0 was the only thing
available. Then I downloaded version 1.02 sans manual. Now the manual
that's available on the website is for version 1.03. Don't know how
significant the changes are. Can you advise me?
The website also mentions that Version 2.0 was to be released in summer,
2000. Is it in the works and likely to be released soon?
