I can see nothing wrong with the rendering: The red dot for the station location is partly hiden by the bridge, which is totally right. The big station name gives enough hint that there's something. One could add the possibility to make the upper map feature half-transparent if there's a POI below. But Mapnik doesn't allow this partial transparency AFAIK.
