There are people who think we need a lengthy approval and discussion
process for every tag. But if tags are in use and they are obvious (like
these are), you can simply add them to the wiki.

Pictures would be nice for the different types of stiles, as not
everybody has English as his/her native language.

For that matter, pictures would be useful for those of us who are native to 
English, but live in cities rather than rural areas. I can guess what these 
types of stiles likely look like, but would be interested in seeing if my 
guesses are correct.
