This has nothing to do with yahoo. I just happen to have a yahoo account laying around and so I do email tests by sending emails to that address. This way my friends and family don't receive my test emails. My problem seems very strange to me. I really can send mesaages to just about anyone if I use Mozilla as my client and email.byu.edu for my pop and smtp servers. With the same settings and passwords (at least everyhting looks the same to me) I try to set up Evolution, but I can only receive email and send to email accounts hosted on campus. When I try to send an email to my parents for example i get the error shown below.
Error while performing operation: RCPT TP <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>failed: Relaying not permitted:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Am I really the only one that has ever had trouble with this?
