I uninstalled the older version of mozilla using the RH Graphical package management system.
(i basically went to the internet applications and unchecked mozilla programs)

then i downloaded the newer version of mozilla (1.4)
i followed the instructions and now i have mozilla installed on /usr/local/mozilla/
to run it, i use [./mozilla] from the shell when I am in /usr/local/mozilla/

The icon on the gnome program list does not link to that program, and i cannot run mozilla using the shell if i wasnt in /usr/local/mozilla/

I tried fixing the link on the icon to reflect /usr/local/mozilla/./mozilla but that did not work, and i got a message saying that i am trying to modifiy a read only file (although i was logged as root)

my question is how do i fix the problem of not linking to the right mozilla executable?
thanks
