When I start loading my spiffy new kernel it complains back at me:
ds: no socket drivers loaded!
VFS: Cannot open root device "LABEL=/" or 00:00
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
/boot/grub/grub.conf nevertheless shows:
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.22)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22 ro root=LABEL=/
initrd /initrd-2.4.22.img
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-20.9bigmem)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-20.9bigmem ro root=LABEL=/
initrd /initrd-2.4.20-20.9bigmem.img
I know this makes me look very green and obvious and I get duh points,
well then whatever. So what do I not see?
