Indeed, with Redhat, and Redhat-like distros (Mandrake), there is no learning curve at all outside of learning GUI-ish point, select, click, type, etc., until you have problems, and even then, much like everything else logical in this world including the proof of Fermat's Last Theorem, it is quite easy to solve when you know what you are doing.
