Quinn,
        If you have your urpmi set up with a plf media, then you want to
download all the mplayer references that are brought up soley in the plf
source.  The gui lets you sort packages by source media.  Or
commandline:
        urpmi --excludemedia contrib --excludemedia main --excludemedia updates mplayer
