OR: 64 MB /boot #and turn on 'noauto' in /etc/fstab (see 'man fstab') 1 GB swap #usually about double your RAM 8-10 GB / 1-2 GB /tmp #since it can get quite fragmented, it's good to isolate the fragmentation to a partion the rest for /home Note: This thread may degenerate into a flame war.
