Hi, I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with the Sharp Zaurus. It runs a build of linux out of the box. Specifically it is called Embedix, version 1.5.0, with kernel 2.4.6 for embedix. I have the SL-5500
I'm been going nuts trying to get it to connect to my xp box. I haven't even tried on Linux yet, because I read that you have to patch your kernel. At first it didn't work, until I understood how to install the drivers. I installed them and they worked. ( I just followed the directions the second time). Then, I tried to connect to the internet, and now it won't connect to my pc at all. I couldn't for the life of my figure out how to connect to the internet through the usb. I've tried installing it on other machines, and it works about 25% of the time. Does anyone know anything about this?
