Hi, I have Fedora installed on my laptop along with WindowsXP. I am running out of space on my hard drive and would like to erase the Fedora partition so the 8 gigs can be used in by windows. I imagine this is difficult and risky, but was wondering if any of you could help me?

Anjuta is a development environment targeted to compete with KDevelop, but has more of a Gnome/GTK feel to it. They are both robust IDE's with very similiar feature sets. Which one I would suggest depends on the personal taste of the developers. Personally, I also prefer Vim in a console (using GDB/DDD when I'm really stuck).
