Hi to all. Iâve been playing with hdparm tweak my hard drive. I think Iâve got it how I want, but now need to make the changes permanent. The answer, of course, is typically to add the commands to system scripts. Specifically, I found a site (http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/pub/a/linux/2000/06/29/hdparm.html?page=2) that says:
âBe sure to add the (hdparm commands) to your /etc/rc.d/* scripts once you're sure the system is stableâ I have no rc.d directory. I do have rc0.d through rc6.d and rcS.d. How do I go about making this a permanent change? I have yet to find the âin painful detailâ-type explanation that I usually need. â Many thanksâ Andrew _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://phantom.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/newbies
