If you kept the source around, and if the makefile has an uninstall target that works. If you have the source still and make uninstall doesn't work you can check out the install part of the makefile and see if you can manually track everything down from there. Use rpm -qf <filename>(if you are on an rpm distro) to double check whether a file belongs to an rpm package or not before rm-ing it.
