For a start, you can try ctr+alt+F1 to get to a terminal.
From there, you can log in, edit files and such. e.g. edit the X
configuration. I can't tell you what to change in there, as I don't have
the specs, but you can take out the new monitor stuff you put in there
and that should take you back at least to a working configuration.
Then you can restart your display manager to see if it worked:
/etc/init.d/(kdm|gdm|xdm|whatever-you-are-using) restart
     ^^^^^^ this path may be different in redhat
