If I were on Windows, I would know what to use to download my files from the

anybody please help me?
Two options. If you're on-campus, you could do ssh into the CS lab
machines and run everything there (having it display on your own machine):
ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Then once you log in, type in "kwrite" into your ssh session and kwrite
should pop up, running on schizo but displaying on your own monitor.
If this is (a) too slow or (b) too confusing, and you really just want to
copy files back and forth, you have a few options. The nicest graphical
one if you're using KDE is Konqueror ... in the address bar of Konqueror,
type:
sftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]
It will prompt you for a password, after which you'll be able to view your
remote files just as you would local files. Open up another Konqueror
window and drag-and-drop to your heart's content!
There are about a bazillion ways to do what you're trying to do, these are
just a couple of them.
