You'll have to boot from a rescue disk and run grub from the command-line. I always miss a detail or two, but you have to do something like the following: 1) Find out the grub disk id of your /boot partition on your 6 GB drive. I usually do "cat (hd0,0)/" and hit tab, then try "cat (hd1,0)/" and hit tab, and so on until I see a list of files that includes stuff like System.map, vmlinuz, grub, etc. Note that the first number is the disk and the second number is the partition. 2) Type "root (hd0,0)" or whatever the disk id and partition were where the grub files live. 3) Type "setup (hd0)" or "setup (hd1)", etc. This is the disk into whose MBR Grub will be installed. -- Andrew McNabb http://www.mcnabbs.org/andrew/ PGP Fingerprint: 8A17 B57C 6879 1863 DE55 8012 AB4D 6098 8826 6868
