THE MONTENEGRIN PARLIAMENT
THE GOVERNMENT FORMATION TODAY

Podgorica - Following the agreement of the Democratic Party of
Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) about the
formation of the new government, it was announced that Montenegro's
Parliament would decide on today's session about the cabinet and the
program of prime minister designate Milo Djukanovic.

The representatives are also expected to give their opinion about the
Proposal of the Republic Budget for the coming year, as well as about
the changes of the Law on Customs and the Law on Extra Profit.

The Parliament is expected to nominate members of the Council of the
Radio Television of Montenegro and also the members of the Executive and
the Supervisory Board of the Public Newspaper enterprise Pobjeda.

THE CONSTITUTIONAL COMMISSION BROKE OFF THE SESSION IN PODGORICA LAST
NIGHT THE LAW ON IMPLEMENTING THE CHARTER - THE STUMBLING BLOC

Podgorica - Members of the Constitutional Commission did not succeed in
agreeing about the Law on the Charter implementation last night in
Podgorica.

The contentious issue was the one regulating the manner of presentation
of member states in the international financial organizations.

The legal and technical part of the Constitutional charter has been
accepted, which makes it ready to be adopted in the Parliaments of
Montenegro and Serbia and in the federal Parliament - said co-presiding
of the Constitutional Commission Dragan Kujovic.

The constitutional subcommission session is expected to take place after
the New Year's and Christmas holidays.


ROMANO PRODI IN A NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE TO THE CITIZENS OF MONTENEGRO AND
SERBIA THE FUTURE LIES IN JOINING THE EUROPEAN UNION

Podgorica - President of the European Commission Romano Prodi said in
his New Tear's greetings to the citizens of Montenegro and Serbia that
their future lay in joining the European Union (EU).

In that occasion, Prodi pointed out that the Balkans was going to be "a
bridge between the strategy of the EU expansion and the neighborhood
policy". He also stated that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY)
for the EU represented both a responsibility and an opportunity. In

DANAS KONSTITUISANJE VLADE

Podgorica-Nakon dogovora Demokratske partije socijalista(DPS) I
Sociljaldemokratske partije(SDP) o sastavu nove vlade,najavljeno je da
ce na danasnjoj sjednici, crnogorska Skupstina izjasniti o programu i
kabinetu mandatara Mila Djukanovica.

Poslanici bi,takodje,trebalo da se izjasne o Predlogu republickog
budzeta za narednu godinu,kao i o izmjenama carinskog i Zakona o porezu
na dodatnu vrijednost.

Skupstina bi trebalo da imenuje clanove Savjeta Radio-televizije Crne
Gore,kao i clanove Upravnog i Nadzornog odbora Javnog novinskog
preduzeca Pobjeda.

U PODGORICI SINOC PREKINUTA SJEDNICA USTAVNE KOMISIJE
ZAKON O SPROVODJENJU POVELJE-KAMEN SPOTICANJA

Podgorica-Clanovi Ustavne komisije nijesu se,ni sinoc dogovorili oko
zakona za sprovodjenje Povelje.

Sporan je bio clan koji regulise nacin predstavljanja drzava clanica u
medjunarodnim finasijskim organizacijama.

Pravno-tehnicki dio Ustavne povelje je prihvacen,cime je on spreman za
usvajanje u parlamentima Crne Gore i Srbije i savezne Skupstine-rekao je
kopredsjedavajuci Ustavne komisije Drgan Kujovic.

Nastavak sjednice Ustavne potkomisije najavljen je nakon Novogodisnjih i
Bozicnih praznika.

ROMANO PRODI U NOVOGODISNJOJ PORUCI GRADJANIMA CRNE GORE I SRBIJE:
BUDUCNOST JE U UKLJUCENJU U EVROPSKU UNIJU

Podgorica-Predsjednik Evropske komisije Romano Prodi, u novogodisnjoj
poruci gradajanima Crne Gore i Srbije,rekao je da njihova buducnost lezi
u u ukljucenju u Evropsku uniju(EU).

Prodi je tom prilikom naglasio da ce Balkan biti "most izmedju
strategije prosirenja EU i politike susjedstva"i ocijenio da Savezna
Republika Jugoslavija(SRJ)za EU predstavlja i odgovornost i sansu.
