Hi gang, (sorry this is late because of elections work),
There are a few Public Hearings tonight during the regular council meeting:

Tonight -- City Council Meeting @ 351 W. Center St. (same place as always)
6:00pm - Study Session
7:00pm - regular Council Meeting

Agenda: (from http://www.provo.org/downloads/council/11-01-05_cm.pdf)
A,B -- Resolutions to approve adding property to the city's surplus
property list and then authorizing the Mayor to dispose of them.

C -- Land Use Items:
1,2,3 -- public hearings on various street vacation requests from BYU.
4 -- rezone request for property at 4950 N. Canyon Rd from
agricultural to residential.
(NOTE: the property owner has to go before the city to get permission to
use his own private property as he sees fit.)

5 -- Public Hearing to consider amending Section 14.22.020
(permitted uses) to allow multiple-family dwellings in the General
Commercial Zone under "certain circumstances".

6 -- Public Hearing to consider adding Section 14.05.045 (Final
Determination) and Section 14.36.105 (Nonconforming Uses Existing more
than 50 years) and amending 14.06 (definitions) to add provisions to
reduce nonconforming uses && the Time Period after which an otherwise
Illegal Use is deemed to be a legal nonconforming use.
(NOTE: I don't have time to get the staff report but the above sounds
VERY interesting. I expect this to be the hottest item of the night. I
wonder if they're going to try to reduce grandfathering? Call the
council office at 852-6120)

D,E,F,G -- Redevelopment Meeting items -- see the attached meeting
agenda. Definitely some items to be interested in!

H -- Ordinance amending section 10.02.240 (Water User Fees) and Section
10.03.010 to delete an obsolete water user schedule, and etc..

I -- An ordinance amending Sections 14.50(1).190, 14.50(3).190,
14.50(4).190, 14.50(5).190,
14.50(6).200, 14.50(7).190, 14.50(8).140 of the Provo City Code to
correct an erroneous
citation to project plan approval/design review requirements.

That's it folks. To look up the City Code on any of the sections cited
above go to http://www.provo.org/council.citycode_main.html

Hope to see one of you there.
