Roger, I was not able to attend nor tune in to the city council mtng.
Fill me in on what happened. Thanks, John
Hi John, and for anybody else that's interested... here's what happened
at the last city council meeting April 21st:
* They passed narrowly the ordinance to allow people to have so many
chickens, more specifically hens only, on residential properties. It
doesn't allow it for properties below a certain square footage -- you
can read a little about it here --

* They had the 1st Public Hearing on whether to go forward with
researching a Street Parking Permit Program for the South Joaquin
neighborhood -- they approved it for study and for more Public Hearings
on it. Unfortunately I had to leave to go home and could not speak out
-- they didn't even have the Public Hearing on it till about 10:00pm
since the chicken ordinance public hearing went for hours. :)
You can read a little about it here --

If you have feedback on either item for the council, please send it to
them at [email protected].
They need to hear from us early in the process! If you wait till the
next public hearing it might be too late to get them to change their minds.

Thanks everybody! hope to see you at one of the upcoming meetings if
not tomorrow's, May 5th's! :)
Roger
