Hi everyone please forgive me for this being so late.
They released the agenda on Thursday sometime but haven't had the
chance to get this out till now.
I'm sending it just because there are at least probably many of you
that might read this email this evening and turn to Channel 17 to
watch and maybe even drive down to city hall to speak out during the
Public Hearing on how our tax dollars will be used -- in other words
the city budget for 2009-2010 fiscal year.
#1 -- First off, here is the proposed budget details --
http://www.provo.org/downloads/finance/tentativebudget.pdf
You might have seen one of the items in the national news recently --
the city (not sure who is pushing for it -- mayor or council or both
maybe) -- asking to receive something like $600,000+ from our federal
tax dollars for a parking structure.
I don't see where in this document (at the link above) -- i don't see
where it explains, if it does, which parking structure specifically.
Somebody should ask tonight. Because of work and voter registration
drive commitments tonight i won't be able to make it.
Will someone at least email the council at [email protected] to
ask them what that money is going for. Do a search in the pdf to find
the page I'm talking about -- search for "parking" and you'll find it
towards the end of that document -- it's pretty long.
#2 - Here is the agenda for tonight with everything (source:

Thanks!
P.S. can you help send out an email on June 30th for the council
meeting the first week of July?
It takes literally about 15 minutes or less to do it.
Let me know. I sure could use the help -- tired of running this
organization all by myself.
Or let me know what other ways you can help -- in any way at all! Thanks! :)
